Troy guy SBC OL ranking
https://twitter.com/scottwatkinstu/statu...75456?s=21

Don’t know if this guy Scott Watkins is on this sight or y’all know him. But dude needs to do a better job.

ULM at #9 his reasoning is 4-9 is close .
ULM 21st TFL with 44
Texas State 128 TFL 90
Difference 46 TFL and 107 difference in ranking
ULM Sacks given up 21
Texas State sacks 36 I think.
ULM rushing yards per game 170
Texas State 134
36 yards difference.
Texas State at #5
ULM #9 by this guy.
ULM returns 4 starters and 5th guy started some games as well. Texas State returns 4 starters and a all conference player. It’s not like our guys won’t be better. I know I’m a homer but this is just lazy.
Other publications have us at as one of better OL.
Sun Belt OL group ranking
1) Troy
2) Georgia Southern
3) Georgia State
4) Arkansas State
5) Texas State
6) Coastal Carolina
7) Louisiana-Lafayette
8) Appalachian State
9) Louisiana-Monroe
10) South Alabama

Not saying we’ll be better than last, but we certainly now have the best OL coach in the league.

Bold claim. You should check out Matt Moore's (Troy) stats. His O-line's almost always rank in the Top 15 in sacks allowed and tackles for loss allowed, no matter what school he is at. He is one of the best in the country, not just the P5, and has taken lines with zero returning staters and made them into the country's top o-lines. I don't know many that are better than Matt Moore. Ask LATECH and MTSU fans about Matt Moore.

Troy was 1st in the country in sacks allowed in 2016 and 12th in 2017, despite not always having a lot of returning guys to work with. We bring back 4 of 5 starters this year and should be in the Top 5 this year statistically.

ULM O-line next to last is absurd. D-line maybe, but O-line no.

I'll gladly take 2nd place for my Eagles. This past season may have been one of the worst in programs history.

I will say Southern has a very DEEP bench on the OL. If there are injuries to any starters, Southern should be fine with 2nd team player
