That can at least be argued, haha. It wouldn't surprise me if you guys won it all. That said, Anderson's teams simply don't have that killer instinct in OOC. Outside of the SBC, they never seem like a truly dominant team. He also has Hansen rated higher than Tua Tagovailoa. I have incredible doubts that Hansen will be the best QB on the field when you play Alabama.

To me, this is one of those articles where for us (meaning the Sun Belt), you don't focus on the validity.

You focus that a well recognized publication is viewing the upper echelon of our conference as a peer to the point that naming one of them as a top 25 team is not some crazy prediction.

So for that, I say... that's awesome.

If Anderson can actually prove he can win an OOC game or two, and beat Tulsa and UNLV, then I say let Arkansas State be ranked.

He's right in the sense that if we perform well in OOC Play, we'll likely be favored in 11 of our 12 games. I don't see us as an underdog in SBC Play unless we are terrible OOC again and App does their usual.

However that is one very big if given our history.

A good coach should take what AState has AND the schedule (which features only three teams with winning records in 2017 and only one of those on the road, Alabama) and have a damn good shot at 11-1, which would then almost guarantee the SBC title game would be at Centennial Bank Stadium.

I'm thinking 8 wins right now until I see other evidence.
