There should be a KYS option on this poll.

I went to a Def Leopard/KISS concert in Orange County a few years ago, pretty much everybody was there to see KISS, but this one guy was wearing a matching Blue Jean outfit with Def Leopard stuff all over the jacket. He stood the entire time Def Leopard was playing and shouted every word to every song, air guitar included.
As soon as Def Leopard finished he left .
Not a big Def Leopard fan but they sounded great and it was an outdoor concert.

Blue jeans with a chain on your wallet and some biker boots.

Can't wait! Both bands are great and it's going to be a fantastic show.

Was a great show for sure and had a fantastic time.
Not nitpicking, but I gotta say this. Journey needs to hire the sound engineers that Def Leppard uses. Both bands were absolutely fantastic, but Journey was muddy, entirely too much "bass", and you couldn't really hear the individual instruments. Then DL came on stage and it was like a totally different arena. Another example, when Sean would solo, they would turn his guitar up (like it's supposed to be), then after the solo and back to vocals, they never decreased the volume on his guitar until later in the song.
Most people probably didn't even notice...strictly from a musicians humble opinion. To me it was blatant.

It wasn't just you that noticed.
After the first song, my kid said "they got the mix pushed too high, especially the bass".

Made a few phone calls yesterday. From what I understand, same stage-sound crew but definitely two different sound engineering/mixing groups. Both groups were contracted but DL's crew has actually worked w/ them several times before.
Not sure how accurate this is, but my bud is usually accurate w/ "behind the scenes" info on live shows here in town.
Any one else have any info, please share. I'm just curious at this point. Bad gigs happen, even Sean's neck pickup on the Fender went out during the middle of a song, but how on earth can you not have the best of the best when you are filling up a 20,000 seat arena at $150+ a pop is beyond me.
Another interesting tidbit. DL was supposed to open but there was a last minute change up. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with the sound issues.

Oh, I did...the drums and bass just led to a constant loud pulse that drowned out the vocals.
DL was great.

Really?
That is surprising only because DL's show was so much more invoved--lighting, video board, stage setup--it just LOOKED like they were the main event.

Yeah that surprised me as well. Like I mentioned I saw the actual set list for both bands before we went to the forum. I didn't tell the wife what I had seen and was adamant that DL was going on first (like a big shot). I failed miserably and lost our bet (lol).
DL had it going on for sure. Lasers and the lights going up and all.... even a backing track here and there. Totally awesome.

Haha. During "Man Enough" that was very evident.
