Subtracts the birth-death change from the total population change between 2010 and 2017 to arrive at how many people are moving out.

Somehow we will just have to survive the loss to our potential Dairy Whip labor force.

Memphis is still growing population. 30k migrated out out for 1.5 million. Not a big deal when you are naturally growing population by 54k at the same time.

The city of Memphis (not the metro area) has actually been losing population the last few years. People moving outside of the city limits.

The article uses the Tenn-Ark-Miss metro area not just the city.

I understand it is difficult to get out of Wichita, unless you're a hog or cattle. People train runs out of Stubbville.

Population "grew" because the birth minus death change was greater than the exodus change.

It's never good when more people (who have a choice) leave than come.

If you love somebody enough... you'll even follow them to Memphis. Doesn't this song kind of insinuate that Memphis isn't a place you'd particularly want to be unless you HAD to go for love?

Wish some folks would leave NC. Getting crowded with all the yankees and mid-westerners fleeing bad governments....

Those stats are from the Tubby days, before Penny was hired. He'll make sure all that basketball talent stays local.

I wish it wasn't getting as popular as it is. I was planning on retiring there. I figured I could show those N.C. locals how to drop some smoke on a shoulder or ribs. 02-13-banana

I am a big fan of the mustard/vinegar based BBQ sauce. This is a pretty good one if you like that stuff. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/19615/best-...eat-sauce/

Any of you N.C. guys let me know if you have anything better.

Unfortunately for AAC rivals, Memphis is still producing high quality athletes despite migration losses.

Preach! Mustard belongs on a cheese burger along with chili and onions.
