I think he’ll be used heavily to ensure Kansas has a landing spot in the power conferences should the Big 12 fall apart in the next round of realignment. Jeff led Arkansas in one of the largest facilities upgrades seen in the nation in the past decade during his tenure.

KU is sitting pretty, they just need Jeff to hire a better football coach if he has to make that decision down the road.

Well, if they were looking for a solid connection to the SEC then perhaps they found it.

That may just be speculation on my part, but perhaps it's one tenant of their strategy to survive the next culling.

Jeff also worked for Pittsburgh as AD prior to Arkansas so add Big East/ACC too. He’s well connected and that’s before you mention he was the first chairman of the cfp.

Hope he goes after Bielema.
