While attending a July 4th party, my friends were talking football and we were talking about going to the UNLV game in Vegas, the Wisconsin game in Chicago and the last bowl game in Detroit. This older gentleman chimes in that he played for the huskies back in the seventies. During our talk, I asked him about travel and the how the locker rooms were etc. were back then. He starts talking about playing UCLA, how much fun it was and than with a big smile he says, Travel to play UCLA was great, and then going to Disney land after we beat them was the best. He could not have been prouder and it was great to see old school beaming with pride after all these years! I am working to get his name.

Nice story, but, NIU has NEVER played UCLA.

Maybe California State - Fullerton in 1983?

In the 70s, NIU did play at Long Beach State and Fresno State.
