China immediately regrets adding additional tariffs on US product
We warned you it would be far worse on you than it would be for us. Our president was correct, we wont loes a trade war. We already lost it thanks to mom-jeans and the other non-negotiating doofuses. Nowhere to go but up for us.
Chinese state media call for market calm amid trade frictions
SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Chinese state media on Tuesday called a recent sell-off in mainland stock markets an “irrational overreaction” and urged investors not to panic over growing trade frictions between Beijing and Washington.
The comments, made in newspapers such as the Securities Daily and Economic Daily, come as China’s Shanghai bourse dove to more than a two-year low on Monday as the brewing trade war threatens to knock the world’s second-largest economy.

Excactly. Its just math. We run a huge trade deficit. We might suffer a short term disruption--but less trade will eventually manifest itself as a net positive for any nation running a huge trade deficit. Conversely, declining trade is a HUGE negative for countries running a huge trade surplus.

It probably hurts even worse after manipulating their currency down over the years. It makes their economy super-dependent on exports.

Then factor in that money leaving their stock exchange and invested in their countries has to flow somewhere else. More jobs, growing 401ks. Double win.
