He's foregoing playing his last year at Harvard, so, he can play as a graduate student next year somewhere. Unless we unexpectedly lose someone, we have no open schollies next year.

Am I missing something? I thought we still had TWO scholarships available.

Correct. Next year we will have 10 returning scholarships to go with 3 incoming freshmen. I believe it was hinted that the kid was finishing his degree this season at Harvard while saving his last year of eligibility in order to transfer next season and use it towards a graduate degree.
We could afford a 1 year grad rental this year. No room next year. With school everywhere already started, I'm pretty sure those 2 spots this season go unfilled.

Hard to believe we couldn't find two players in this great big world to take those scholarships. Unless Fischer plans to award two walk ons. Do we even have two walk ons?

Dronjak is a senior and has shown loyalty to the program. Washburn is a junior. Maybe they could give him a scholarship this year but he knows that he won't get one next year (unless he plays so great that he earns one; someone else will probably transfer by then anyway).
