Newly Released Audio Reveals Democratic Committee's Groans, With Kennedy Retirement
Quote:

Politico reporter David Siders released audio from inside a Democratic National Committee meeting upon learning of Kennedy's announcement:

After someone announced Kennedy's retirement, another person could be heard groaning, “Oooh!” The rest of the audio included muffled voices and what sounded like additional complaints from the meeting's attendees.

“Not that he's done us any good on these recent decisions, but he was the one that was usually persuadable,” another person said.

“This is not good news,” someone added.
