There's been some stupid ideas floated on this forum in the past but this one has to rank right up there among the stupidest.

100% agree ^^^

Victories over AAC top programs are not easy anymore... But whatever floats their crappy boat.

Well yeah!

Give me the P5 champs plus the top G5 conference champ and 2 at-large and let's see what shakes out!

Why not five champs and three at-large? No sense in taking more bad teams than necessary. What if there is a down year for G5? A two or three loss American or Mountain West team over a one loss SEC runner up, 1/2 loss ND with a monster schedule, etc.

Why not 8 at-large? What if there is a down year for the PAC12?

I’m not opposed to that if it works. I could see major conferences be more open to voting for 8 teams if there was a guarantee.

That's kind of how my 'P5 conference comparison works', P5 teams get docked 1.5 losses for losing to unranked G5.

Even a good MAC team can beat the dregs of the P5, and decent ones here and there. Just a dumb idea.

You divide a loss by two, why not a win by the non A5 by times 2. It makes as much sense.

Sounds like off-season click bait.
