So...You guys
The Pigs are a win away from a legitimate National Title that they didn't make up at the top of their heads.

If the unthinkable happens, just a reminder that the given procedure is to stay far, far away from any local radio or television for a few days, talk radio in Little Rock will be especially brutal.

Thus ends your Public Service Announcement.

OSU did win 4 straight elimination games, earlier in the CWS, so there's always hope. I do appreciate your reminder.

OSU's good, so there's hope, however it is good to be aware of the given procedures just in case. Anything can happen in a single baseball game.

Put your talk radio boycott on hold for at least a day. The Pigs just blew the title in absolutely spectacular fashion, thoroughly befitting their athletic program.

Wow. I turned it on and they were winning in the bottom of the 8th, so I shut it off and went back to reading my book. I made it a point not to go back and check the score. Thanks for the update.

Just watched the replay of the 9th on ESPN3. Absolutely unbelievable way to lose a game and possibly a championship. Even if I had been watching live, I would have clicked the off button as soon as the OSU guy popped it up- and missed the end of the game.

I almost did. I had the game on as background noise, convinced I would flip it off the minute the last out was made, but I decided to give it space knowing some of the famous meltdowns in their illustrious athletic history. It was a wise decision.

That play was probably on level with the fumble they had to cost them a football title in 98, with the exception that this one actually happened in the Championship game.

Then there were the AState grads on Little Rock TV that looked openly close to weeping, which made me remember why I hate those guys even more.

Kind of like the Steve Bartman incident, except no Bartman to blame it on.

Essentially, there were three guys going after a foul ball with two outs in the top of the 9th, and they let it fall between them. Had they caught it, Arkansas would have won the national championship. Beavers then score to tie the game and then hit a two-run homer to go up 5-3.

Now the Public Services Announcement should be to listen to local radio and TV. Watched local sports for the first time in forever. Steve Sullivan (ASU grad) looked like he might cry. Priceless.

I had not realized that Oregon State already had two baseball titles to their credit. And how about that OSU pitcher - two-hit shutout in the biggest game of the year.

He threw 247 pitches in 5 days. Basically said the most stressed he felt all night was being at the bottom of the dogpile at the end of the game.

It was a glorious evening yesterday, and a great day to be alive today. I do highly encourage everyone to listen to Drive Time Sports right now. Its worth the price of sitting through the idiot hosts just to hear grown men weeping on air.

Game 2 I tuned in at the start of the 9th and when that foul appeared it would stay in play I said something like smmmuvabidge and was about to look for the remote when it hit the ground causing manic laughter.

Game 3 I watched innings 1-3 and 7-9.

As I previously said, I had no stomach for watching the 9th inning and a hog dogpile, so I shut it off after OSU didn't score in the 8th. I'm pretty sure, if I was watching in the 9th, I would have hit the off button on the remote when the pop-fly went up and thus would have never seen it hit the ground. I should have had more faith that the hogs would have found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I really don't think anyone, if truth be told, believed the hogs would win game 3, after the game 2 meltdown.
