I beleive David will shortly become a fan favorite.

I look forward to the disconceration caused by Wingett and Harris (among others I hope) to opponents that have grown accustomed to Tigers clanking three pointers.

Wingett intrigues me...His story is so unique

But I thought coaches were not allowed to observe the prospect playing the sport they were recruited for on a recruiting visit.

C'mon, if coaches couldn't observe it wouldn't be a very productive visit.

Rule:
Quote:Coaches typically will want you to meet a few members of the team—or the whole team—to see how your chemistry checks out. You may also be invited to participate in a workout or another team activity. According to NCAA rules, however, any kind of workout you attend on an official visit cannot be organized by the coach or coaching staff. Typically, the workout will be led by the team’s captains. Take this opportunity to see if you connect with your potential teammates.

If he comes close to shooting 47% from 3 this year or any year, he is going to be on the floor.

I find it funny the way the reporter quotes that stat..."According to his coach"

Like he couldn't find any verifiable source to confirm the number.

Yeah that is strange. Hopefully he's not a member of Dick Vitale's all practice team. You know that guy that makes them all in practice but lay bricks in the game.

When I read "According to his coach", I though it was in reference to those on here who believed Wingett was actually shooting 70%+ plus from 3 according to his team's website, which clearly only had stats for made shots for about half of the games.

Regardless of the validity of past stats, it is clear now that David is an outside threat and scrappy.

High school stats are pretty terrible most of the time. When we first looked at him it said that he was shooting 74.5% from 3 from the Bull City site. I don't see those stats up there now.

Can't wait for this season to start. So many unknowns that we can actually be excited about instead of worried about.

Well said...no doubt about it...

I did ask someone on the inside about Wingett and how he's doing. The response was one word. "Special."

I actually like finding a hidden gem like him, in addition to being able to land the higher rated recruits.

Finding the players that fit the system Penny wants to run is the most important thing. I think this play will fit in quite nicely.

Had to look that one up. And didn't find it 03-drunk

It is missspelled. Disconcertion (the proper spelling) is a related form of “disconcert”. I get lazy sometimes and do not consult a dictionary and just write what pops in my head.
