O.T. New Restaurant
My next door neighbor, Vinny Vitale is opening one of his restaurants (Vinny's) in the site that was formerly Frank's Pizza in the WalMart shopping center. He has restaurants in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Fredericksburg, King George, Smith Mt. Lake (Moneta), and several others. Give it a try.

Is this in Harrisonburg?

I have eaten at the one in Moneta. His pizza was very good.

I may have already put his kids through college with all the pizza I've bought at the Stafford store. Really outstanding.

I didn't know Franco's closed. That kind of breaks my heart. Glad to hear there's more pizza though!

How long ago was it that you could get a full breakfast for as cheap as $2? Sheesh.

Not sure that is part of his empire. I will ask him.

I was very sad to see this when I went by there the other day. Franco's was one of my favorite pizza places in town! 03-weeping

I will miss Franco's. I always prefer to support local businesses over a chain.

Franco’s was great. Sad to see it close, but I suppose the guys that opened and ran it had decided it was time to retire. Look forward to experiencing what the new place brings to the table.

Chain isn't exactly how I would describe Vinny's. They aren't franchises, he owns all of them and has managers run them for him. He supports the different communities where he located. Usually college towns. Like Spanky's/Macado's used to be.

If it's the same Vinny's that's in the Hollymead area of Cville, it'll be a good addition to Harrisonburg. That place is one of our family go-tos when dining out.

It’s called Vinny’s Pizzeria here. 3434 Lauderdale Dr. Maybe not the same guy?
