Obviously Jeremy Cox is the main focus. If he stays healthy I guarantee he goes over 1000 yds for the season.
The supporting cast of Gemonta Jackson, Kesean Strong and Brandon Sinclair will be good. Add in Will Knight and Lala Davis and we have a pretty deep group. Our OLine is projected to be one of the better ones in C-USA. If we get get the running game going this year we should be going back to a bowl game.
Agreed. This is the deepest RB group we have had and they will do some damage. Just need SW to keep progressing, making smart reads, running when he can and the WRs to get open and actually catch the ball. Way too many drops last year.
If that happens, we are going to surprise some folks. Granted, that's a lot of ifs.
There was speculation from one poster about Casey (I can't remember who, but I believe they knew people from Perkins hometown) that his work ethic had been questioned during high school. I have been curious to see how his career at ODU unfolds, but I wonder if there was some truth to those claims. Or it could be that his rehab is taking longer than originally thought.
We will miss Ray. Jackson to me has a real opportunity because of his quickness. Cox is more of a power runner. I just hope the OL can produce a decent running game for us this year.

Have to agree that Lawry will be missed, but as the season goes, I think that memory will fade.
Those highlights bring me back the memories of Cox. I was disappointed in him last year, but I believe he battled injuries most of the year. I ran into Bankins one time and said "Man, you gonna miss Lawry this year." His reply was "Have you heard of Jeremy Cox?" They expect big things from him.

Indeed.
This is a very good and deep group at RB this year.
From what I have heard, the OL may be better than in recent memory.
The Spring game notwithstanding, there is no reason to expect that SW will not be improved this year.
A lot of TGDIB (Thank God Duhart Is Back) but I have not otherwise heard the optimism with regards to WR as a unit that seems to be prevalent throughout the rest of the offense.
Heard rFr Geiger is 3rd on the preseason depth chart at RB. Behind Cox and Sinclair. I thought after watching him during the spring game, he was the gem of the game after switching from Safety to RB due to the injuries at the RB position during spring practice.
Recruited to ODU as a defensive player but I did find his senior year highlights at RB. http://www.hudl.com/v/28RnHV
