This is disingenuous. What we want is an end to the racist ICE policy of harrassing Latinos at any point, without any justification, within 100 miles of a coastline or US border.

After watching the full interview, it seems that the bill is a work in progress and Feinstein said she doesn't have a problem working with Susan Collins and other Republicans to finalize the details of the bill.

Actually, she DOES. Because the Pacific Ocean borders SF, ICE has interpreted that as a license to harrass and insult Latinos in the Bay Area.

The border issue has nothing to do with race, religion, or anything along those lines. It has to do with being a sovereign nation and controlling who can gain access to your country and protecting the interest of your citizens. If we had a half million Swedes trying to flood in every year illegally I would have the exact same issues. We have a system for people to come to this country. Follow the rules and there is no issue.


You seem to think that everywhere in the world has "freedom of movement" except the US. Hopefully you know better.

Some of them are fleeing their lives who could have some valuable information on the drug cartels and the thugs they hired to cause havoc down there. They could get asylum because we could protect them, and they could tell us what the cartel and thugs could be doing here in the US by how they blend in and so forth. Even we get people coming here from the Middle East who provide info on the thugs and terrorists in that region. We do not need to completlely close the doors, but leave it open for some cases for people who have info for security and police matters.
