My mother went K-12 in Catholic schools and I can tell you from her stories that even if "God doesn't punish", the nuns sure as heck did!

The cool thing is that everybody's barometer for what is and is not OK is different. What is also cool is that people by and large can sniff out hypocrisy when they see it. NONE of us know what is going to happen after we pass - NONE of us. If you go by strict interpretation of the bible of what qualifies you for heaven or hell - there are probably 99% of us going to hell..... if there is one. Asking for forgiveness rather than permission is 100% BS as far as I am concerned.

You need to look at yourself in the mirror and decide what to do and not do and you really care about what happens in the afterlife you will do what you think is necessary to be accepted that whatever it is you need to be accepted to. Not one person here can or should tell another person here if they are good/bad - heaven/hell bound.

Wouldn't it be ironic if all the "gays" we accepted for the simple act of being true to themselves while the rest of us "non-gays" got sent to hell for not being genuine?
