Really? Have you ever been to an abortion clinic protest? I thought you guys didn't like bubble zone laws?

And they are proud of this, posting it on their Facebook page.

"Activists with the D.C. chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America crashed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's dinner Tuesday evening and appeared to chase her from the building.

According to a Facebook Live video posted to DSA's Facebook page, protesters surrounded Nielsen's corner table at MXDC Cocina Mexicana, located just a few blocks from the White House...."

Its just Americans expressing their first amendment rights.

Its criminal harrassment. Protesting in the street is 1st amendment. Surrounding them in a private restaurant and shouting profanities at them is a crime in this country. Its the type of thing Nazis would do to gays. I see you approve of such behavior.

Not like they have any way of protesting it through the election cycle. How many voting Congresspeople and Senators does DC get again?

Besides, they're not physically attacking her, but simply providing, albeit loudly, their input. And she's surrounded by her protective cordon.

Harrassment of LGBT persons is part of the world of Trump. And it goes FAR beyond simple words.

Look if you'd like to be a white nationalist and put toddlers in dog cages, then you're going to get pushback. Look, most cities have Conservative snowflake friendly restaurants and bars.

I would also add you can make the difference between an elected official hanging out with their constituents and an appointed government official/employee having lunch during a private time. It is not open season on folks just because they work for the government. I agree that public scrutiny comes as part of the job but there is a time, place and manner in which to do it. Again, my main issue is they purposely sought her out (you can hear their excitement on the recorded video when they saw where she was sitting) to disrupt and harass.

Its not trespassing unless the owner orders them to leave.

You can't talk to Republicans because they won't allow for us to express their outrage at them anywhere else.

Look she's putting toddlers in dog kennels. Sorry if her dinner got disrupted over it. Not really sympathetic.

And its not like persons opposed to baby internment camps have any other way of actually being able to express their outrage at those that enable it in any forum where they actually have to see it.

I'm not big on what they did at the restaurant. It puts the restaurant in a bad position. But then again, while I'm livid over Trump and his supporters blatent cruelty and obvious racism, I'm not nearly as mad as others. But I certainly don't have any problem with them doing it so long as it isn't violent.

They harrass the workers and patrons and yell at them. If its legal for them to do it abortion clinic workers and clients, then this should be equally legal. And those protests have turned violent, repeatedly.

Do they go inside and disturb the doctors/visitors? My bet is that would be trespassing. Same here.

Maybe I'm just a mean, nasty, vindictive prick, but if I were her and was forced away from eating a meal while the restaurant did nothing, there'd be an anonymous phone call made to the health department just in time for the dinner rush to be interrupted by a spot inspection.

If they want to play dirty, do things the Chicago way..... He pulls a knife, you pull a gun, he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.

Not sure why so many of my fellow deplorables are wasting their time with the liberal sock puppets here.

They only come here to inflame and clog the board, not for discussion or genuine debate.

What do you think the effect of this verbal bombardment, shouting and chanting at someone does for the issue at hand? Do you think it helps "the cause?" Do you think that folks should be approached in this manner whenever it suits someone? Again, work within the LAWS and RIGHTS of our country to get where you need to go or elect officials that represent your views to change the laws. If these folks that storm rushed the restaurant were really interested in changing public perception, then organize 10,000 people to gather at a public space and protest peacefully. The news media will cover it and you can get your points across. Harassing public officials and employees is not an appropriate forum nor should it be tolerated. That sounds like ANTIFA playland.

Does your GOP congressman not have staffers who hold open hours to the public? Mine do here in North Carolina. You may not get to talk directly to the congressman or senator but you can submit comments or letters. Also, there would probably be more open town hall meetings but too many on the left resort to these tactics and it is impossible to conduct any of sense of order and control.
