Sat, Sept 29 @ UTSA

Sat, Oct 6 vs North Texas

Sat, Oct 20 @ LA Tech

Sat, Nov 3 @ Rice

Sat, Nov 10 vs Mid Tennessee

Sat, Nov 17 @ W Kentucky

That's a decent five to pick, but you're right -- it's a bold prediction. Good luck, Miners!

Oh no you don't....Skip Holtz owns the copyright on "We competed"..... and he protects himself from copyright infringement by saying it at 15 times a week during football season. 03-banghead

That is one of the reasons I love Littrell, if we got our butt whooped, he’ll come out and say we got our butt whooped.

UTSA will win 8 or more games.. People talk about the loss of QB, but if honest the offense underperformed last year, the D is still strong, and the talent is better than it has ever been.

Plus they get UNT at the right time at the end of the season.. not around Halloween.

Because UTSA has another 1st round draft pick ready to step up?

Please, you are drinking to much of the homer kool-aid. Sure UTSA will still have a solid team, but you can't honestly think your team will be more talented. UTSA has several key positions to replace (QB, 3 WRs, 3 O linemen, 1st round draft pick DE,...). Also, don't forget you lost some coaches too.

Though I agree with the offense, we need a lot of new parts, the defense is different. Yes we lost a first round draft pick but there’s a lot of parts that remained. Our defense will not be top 10 in the nation but it will still be stout. It would be foolish to sleep on them.

I'll see your five and raise you one.

RICE gets six wins and bowl-eligible the old fashioned way. Don't ask me which six, but I have a feeling that Bloomgren will have this squad competitive and "in" every single game that they take the field.

It's probably not too bold of a statement to say that Texas Tech will probably go after and nab one of Littrell or Kiffin. I cant imagine that either of them will still be in CUSA after the season.

RE: Bold Predictions for the 2018 C-USA Football Season
My bold prediction for 2019:

FAU goes 9-3 with losses at Oklahoma, UCF, and Marshall, beats LaTech in the Conference Championships in Boca Raton, and crowns the season with a 77-3 beating of Idaho School for the Blind in the Al Bundy Boca Raton Bowl.
Devin Singletary puts on another 30 rushing TDs and 1800 yards and foregoes the Senior season to get drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Kiffin stays around until the Summer of 2020, at which point he leaves to coach Kentucky.

Littrell owns the copyright to the phrase, “at the end of the day”.

Rice goes 6-7 and is the only six win team left home in bowl season.

It can be more talented. How many recruiting classes have came in and they are far more talented than previous years. I agree that USAA will have a hard time replacing Davenport, Replacing WR's is not that hard to me its like replacing RB's and the talent they are replacing with is equal or better. As far as the QB, Dalton was good, but he was not great. Losing Frank Harris will hurt the most..IMO, but lets be honest Dalton was not All Conference.

but they did not lose the main Coach.. aka Coach Wilson..

this is a bold prediction.. its ment to be outside of the box. I think UTSA will be better than predicted. Could I be wrong.. sure and odds are that I will be wrong.

lol. If the game were in Murfreesboro, they might be 5-7 point favorites, but it's not. They won't beat us at home. I'd say we have a better shot at losing to FIU in Miami.

Stock is back. Last time he started against Marshall he throw for over 350 yards and beat the Herd. Marshall is breaking in a new QB. I'll stick with MT winning this one.

LMFAO! Yeah, three years ago. And their defense gave up 343 yds to Freshman Chase Litton. You must not have watched the game because the reason we lost is because we had a moron for a kicker that missed the game-winner. I really don't care how you pick anyhow, I just find it amusing.

And if you think breaking in a grad transfer is the same as breaking in a freshman, well, then I don't know what to tell you.

Furthermore, the only time the home team has lost was last year.
