Lee corso and the guy they call the bear lol are cool tho
Now, now Mr. G5. You're hurting UCF's brand with that, lol....
Now Lee Corso ? Yeah, he's cool. He moved to Orlando to coach the Renegades of the USFL back in 1985 and liked the area so much he never left.

F' Corso. He left NIU after 9 games with that move to Orlando!

well i mean, i want UConn if they ever went undefeated to have shot at playing for the national title...Will that happen in the next 30 years? probably not but you never know. The point is that with people like kirk promoting the p5 and disrepectin the g5. My school (while in the aac) will never have a shot at a national title even if they earned the right to play for it on the field. Lee doesn't do that at least from what i have seen. He give the schools the respect the deserve...He is the voice for the little guys.

Oh, sorry then.
Say, isn't this about the right time for one of the liberals (or one of their many sock puppets) to bring up the entire ESPN narrative that Trump destroyed the USFL ?
(BTW, the USFL may not have lasted beyond 1990 or so anyway since all of the expansion money that fueled their rapid ascent had all but dried up by 1986)

They were in the tank before they hired the guy, that's true. Hiring him certainly didn't help.
Yup, grew very weary of Greeny, the racist chick and the fake skip bayless routines long ago. Hiring olberdouche may hopefully put this lame horse out of our misery.
I'll keep my 10.95 a month or whatever their ego-driven inflated rates are.

He didn't destroy it, he made silly risk hoping to force the NFL and USFL to merge since he wanted a team.

I agree. And if there was a merger then much of the NFL landscape might look different.
NJ Generals
Jacksonville Bulls
Who else ?
This would have effected future expansion as well as future relocations.

Jemele Hill used to work at the Orlando Sentinel. And she made as ass of herself on a daily basis down here as well. Race baiting ***** - nobody in this town liked here.
She started her crap when she said that Orlando Predators fans were racists and then she crapped on UCF whenever she could.

Her only job was to piss people off.
In other words, "sports" reporting was secondary to political and personal agendas. Par for the course. I don't know about others but I'm so freegin' tired of hearing the word "racist" used in lieu of facts and out of laziness for the purposes of politics or hyperbole. The truth is, she and others who use it frequently are racists.

The ONLY time I'll watch Espin is when they show my school in a game (which isn't so often anyway) but at that time I will head out to a sports bar and spend the money on beer and food that otherwise would have gone to Espin.
"ESPN’s ratings are officially laughably bad at this point."
Schools figuring they are going to get more money from ESPN and other networks when the contracts are up are going to be very disappointed. Particularly the G5, and some P5. The losses mentioned above have to be made up somewhere.

It's fun to blame Trump for the USFL failing, but the fact is he didn't come into play until year 2 and year 1 was not the rounding success the documentary made it out to be. Spending was exceeding revenue. The LA team was bankrupt and many others were in financial trouble. They may have been able to survive as a CFL or Arena football type league but it wouldn't have been more then a blimp on the radar after it underwent the massive restructuring and spending cuts it needed
