Today, I discovered such videos and they’re a beacon of entertainment.
So if anyone finds any that have flown over the cuckoo’s nest, post them here for the laugh.
This one’s so kind to enlighten us what to expect next realignment. It’s so bad, it’s good.
Highlights:
- Iowa’s a “Southern” state
- ND & WVU to B1G
- Boise to PAC
- JMU to AAC
- NIU & NDSU to MWC
ND is never gonna happen, but the B1G could do a lot worse than WVU.
WVU makes a lot more sense than Rutgers.
Not really. Rutgers gave the BTN full coverage in the NYC metro markets, which is the biggest and most influential media market in the world. Rutgers is one of the best public schools in the nation, AAU, and located in a suburb of NYC in the high population state of NJ. WVU is none of those, but despite that has a great football program, so it makes perfect sense that the B1G had been looking to add Rutgers since the early 90s after they added PSU.
That said, despite WVU not being an ideal academic fit, as a Rutgers alum I'd love to see WVU join. They were our favorite rival in the old Big East by far. Those fans were like the Buffalo Bills fans. Absolute hilarity. Definitely miss Guido vs Hillbilly week!

I understand that but does anyone other than college administrators and posters on this board know what AAU even is? Nebraska isn't AAU so this isn't a hard and fast rule.
Nebraska lost AAU status after joining the conference.
And many of the current B1G members voted to drop Nebraska's AAU status. I don't believe AAU is a hard-and-fast rule but there must be other circumstances that make it not a requirement. For example, Notre Dame is not AAU but if they wanted in the conference then the B1G would jump on it.
The AAU status is not a requirement, but a preference since the B1G wants to keep a high academic reputation. They'll make exceptions for game-changing additions, like say adding Oklahoma, Alabama, ND, FSU perhaps... WVU just isn't in their class to be able to look past them not fitting the academic profile.

He put North Dakota State in the Big 10 with Cincinnati to the east. It is something he said if the P5 decides to go to 16 teams and the P5 have not raid each other. He had San Diego State, New Mexico, UNLV and Boise State in the PAC 12. Tulsa in the SEC I had an issue with that with East Carolina on the east. I told him Toledo would be a much better team to go to the SEC than Tulsa. Would be interesting to see Toledo to take on Arkansas again.
Who is College Football Lifer? Is he as entertaining as the guy in the OP?

I think you're right on about Rutgers. Gave the B1G a foot into the NY market in addition to adding an excellent school from the academic side. Their sports took a bit of a dip, but from what I've watched, they're on the road back.
I've heard stories about the Guidos v Hillbillies games. Love to see an intense rivalry like that make it's way to the B1G. WVU would also provide a good rivalry with Maryland, PSU, and tOSU as well. They'd definitely provide some MORE competition in the East.
Problem I see is that the B1G has shown that it's expansion is all about programs and markets. A school like OU would add a blue blood program plus a national fan base so they'd overlook the AAU thing. Not sure if that claim can be made for WVU.
ND is never gonna happen, but the B1G could do a lot worse than WVU.
How?
New Mexico St would be a lot worse for the B1G.
New Mexico State would fit the Big 10 better than University of Faith clone of schools that are fake.

Basically this guy started a fake college that only played football and got paid to lose to various FCS, D2, and NAIA schools. They are now deemed as a "non-countable" opponent by both the NCAA and NAIA, meaning if a school in either association plays them the stats won't count.

Speak for yourself, we never beat them and I enjoyed our growing rivalry with UConn much more. WVU never looked at us as a rival while UConn and Cuse did.

How so? New Jersey has produces more D-1A talent than West Virginia, is more populous, and provided the Big Ten access to the NYC market.
