Adding another 3 star to the list is amazing. This staff is working hard to bring in good talent. I saw on twitter they have offered 4 and 5 star recruits and I think they believe that they can get them. Such a night and day approach to everything.

And to think that we wasted 5 years

Hmmm....I wonder who recruited him at Purdue?

I'm impressed at how quickly this staff fixed the size issues at reciever. In their first class they brought in two 6'3" and one 6'4" WRs, one of which is already making big contributions. Now they bring in a 6'2" wr and 6'5" wr/te with three years left each. I figured they'd try to address that need. Didn't expect this much this quickly though.

Latest addition is Dante Cephas out of Penn Hills HS in Pittsburgh (#1 ranked 5A team in PA). Listed as a WR but also played DB. He's another 3-Star recruit but more importantly he chose us over BGSU and Toledo.

I think it is safe to say that a schools history doesn't affect whether recruits come or not. I can't say how hard they have to work to get the recruits but it is evident that if a coach tries he can get them to come. I don't want to hear any excuses from future coaches.

If you visit our impressive campus and friendly downtown, and then say that you can not get the good recruits, there is a problem with the recruiter. From what I have seen, we now have a Head Coach and staff with charisma and excitement. Reminds me a lot of Don James first year.

I remember watching some practices under Coach James and then the first game - I believe a narrow win over NC State - knew we had something special

Also Devon Fox out of Maple Heights, one of our prized recruits, has been offered by Cincinnati and is hearing from some Big 10 schools. He said he's still committed to us, but is also open to talking with coaches from other schools. What that means in the end is anyone's guess.

He is another 3-star prospect and currently the highest-rated member of our class according to 247sports. This staff can recruit!
