Yesterday UNC outlasted OSU in a mind-numbing 4 1/2 hour game, longest ever. In game two, 0-0 until the 9th and UDub lost to MsState in a walk-off in 2 3/4 hours. Both typical college ball games, but the second one much easier to enjoy.

Up next UT-Arkansas. Pics say the general admission line to this game, two hours before they open the gate, is longest anyone can remember

Weather delay B6 w/ bases loaded, no outs and T has walked in 2 runs this inning. Ark up 5-2

Arkansas up 11-4 in T9.

The Florida - Texas Tech game will start at 8:55 PM tonight. Ugh!

I fell asleep before the game ended Sunday night. Tech batters got to Florida's ace Singer for a 6-2 victory.

First time ever I will be more than nonchalant in wishing for a Gator success.

The game is underway again and Oregon State is thumping Washington: 12-5 in the top of the 8th. And the bases are loaded for the Beavers.

Monday game 2 has been moved to 11:00 AM Tuesday.

Oregon State up 14-5 in the B8. Washington is very likely to be the first team eliminated.
Final 14-5. Washington Huskies go 0 and 2 in their first appearance at the CWS.

When we dont qualify, the wailing of the orange is not a wholly satisfying make-up result; but, at least it is a positive offset to the DNQ. And, tbh, the thread *is* titled CWS.....

But the T-Sip 2&Q and the Rice season are pretty much independent items, I am sure you are aware. Kind of like me saying 'the cherries rock this year', and my wife has to have the urge to make sure some water is thrown on it by saying 'well the raccoons ate the the cantaloupes, so I hope the cherries more than make up for it...'
