Not sure if I like this format best, but I am glad the NCAA went to 1 standard rule across all college hockey.
It's been confusing the last few years trying to figure out how a game counts in the NCHC standings vs the PairWise or NCAA rankings.

I agree, the whole 4 on 4 then 3 on 3 then shootout never made sense to me in terms of how it fared in pair wise.
Let the boys play a 5 minute 4 on 4 OT, if no winner both teams get the one point.

I like the shootouts. Very exciting, entertaining, and in the end a way to settle a game. It is actually a skill which players at every level practice constantly. The shootout gets a bad rap around here.

I don’t mind the shootout either. Gives an outcome to people who pay to see a hockey game. I always thought the 3 pt system in college is better than the 2 pt system in the NHL.

So basically all we are doing is adding a 5 min period then everything else is the same . That makes no sense, the rule board made a rule took heat for it so went back to same ole but still have their 5 min rule in there to save face . Wow
