Since when is NC State either Clemson's rival or a marquee P5 game?
Eight in a row, nine out of the last ten, and seventeen of the past twenty does not a rival make.

I counted NC State as a rival thanks to the whole "Textile Bowl" thing. True, it's probably more so for old guys who remember when Dick Sheridan coached in Raleigh. It probably would've been more accurate to score that one as a 3.5 "tweener" game (OTOH, Louisville could rise to full "rival" status soon, so the total would be the same).

I filled out the survey, I like to be well informed about all the teams. If I wanted to be informed by my team only I could simply read the articles at an FSU fan site (which I do anyway).

There has been no point in history that NC State was considered a rival on par with South Carolina for Clemson, including when Sheridan was coach. It's a manufactured rivalry, much along the lines of the one UConn's old coach tried to manufacture with UCF.

There's no question in my mind that the statement in bold is true. I will reduce the point value of the NC State game based on your comments.

Exclamation RE: ACCFootballRX- A News Blog About the ACC
Q: What do Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Virginia, and Virginia Tech have in common?

A: They've all signed the #1 overall football player at least once since the turn of the century.

https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2021/...ately.html

Clemson has done it 3X, most recently in the 2020 class.

The others were all between 2000 and 2005. That tells a lot about ACC football - from parity to one really good team.

Y’all should check out Mark’s blog on February 10 about why the BigTen has been a destructive influence on the rest of the conferences.

The ACCN growth will eventually slow down but for sure the ACC will make more money than the B12 or the Pac.

I’ve got to admit I’ve been remiss not to visit your blog regularly. There’s a lot of good information there. I am becoming a regular reader. Thanks for all the hard work

Same here, I need to visit more often. I’ll probably comment on it here, rather than there.
