This is going to be worse than Katrina, politically. The Dems are perfectly willing to let Trump off the hook, but not at the expense of our asylum laws.

And DACA is still out there as well.

It doesn't have to be this way. But Trump is so racist that he can't back off. The Dems aren't going to back down on their defense of common decency and opposition to racism. I'd rather be fighting for what's right, rather than what is 'white/supported by white supremacists'.

Good point, the parents who break firearms laws (rather than induced misdemenors like the asylum seeker parents who are guilty of nothing more than crossing at another point because CBP deliberately shut the legal crossing to them) should be treated like any other Felon. The kids will go to relatives or to the state, who will take care of them like any other American. Under no circumstances should the minor child of a felon be incarcerated. Nor should they be denied access to INDEPENDENT legal and support services.
