This has crossed my mind also. Putting guys around Bryant a first year point that's he's familiar with. Sullivan or Gueye both could play on the perimeter, but I would try Gueye as he would actually shoot threes sully not so much. Lee would put another ball handler out on the floor. Think Sullivan is the better post between the two.

I doubt Bertain or Bathurst beats Lovan. I hope we didn't bring Bathurst in to run point and give Hurtado the Watts mins.

As a UAB fan who knows almost nothing about basketball strategy (I don't know a "pick & roll" from a "give & go"), I ask would our suggested line ups lend themselves better to a faster "run & gun" type game or a more deliberate "slow down" / clock killing game?

This team is built with speed in mind. The game isn't played as .much in the post. This teams length is on the wings where it need to be.
Basketball is a perimeter game. We will be alright if we score in the paint when the play is there and Guard 1-3 at a high level

Pick & roll. Player 1 sets a screen on Player 2's defender then rolls to the basket looking for Player 2's pass. Player 1 should make sure that he rolls properly such that he doesn't lose eye contact with player 2.

Give & Go. Player 1 passes to Player 2 then goes toward the basket looking for the pass from Player 2.

Probably more a pick & pop era.

Probably the best explanation of the pick and roll that I know of. Larry Bird explains the play, with a cameo from Red Auerbach. I wish we used it more. There's a reason that play has been around forever.

They are in an interesting spot. Love Bryant, and think Hurtado and Gueye have a chance to be pretty good as well. Really like the incoming guys as well. This is probably a transition year with goal to contend for a title in 2019.

Losing Boyce sucks without a doubt, but it’s still a good class. With the way this staff recruits, I expect them to bring in a good class for 2019 as well.

Are you being serious or sarcastic? I don't know of one. I tried to see if ESPN had writeups on UAB pledges, but they haven't even switched Boyce's commitment.
