I think it's been that way for a few days at least. There will be more updates I'm sure before August. The Florida transfer isn't there yet.
By my unofficial count, we have 101 on the roster and 28 of those are true freshmen. I hope people realize that and give the team some slack during the season. If you click on the bios, they do specify which new players are walk-ons and which ones are scholarship players.
What would be the usual number of true freshmen?
~20 scholarship and maybe 6 or 7 walkons.
So 28 isn't a lot.
When you count the grad transfers, we’ll be a bit over normal in terms of newcomers.
Nothing insane though.

Basketball wasn’t afforded any slack for having a large number of freshmen last year....and I am sure they won’t get any this year again.

Part of not being "afforded any slack" was the premise (accurate or not) that hiring Pera was done, in part, in order to prevent the existing players from transferring. When that plan proved to be an absolute failure, I'm sure that some regarded that as the fault of the new coaching staff.
And, after the loss of yet another group of 6 players, Pera will not get the benefit of a "honeymoon period" typically afforded most second year coaches.

Do I need to copy and paste why it’s dumb to expect Pera should have kept those players from when I posted it before?

I'm talking about perception, not about whether or not it was realistic. Those are separate concepts. Do I have to copy and paste a detailed explanation of the word "perception?"
