Quote:Firefighters say they had to break the windows and run a hose through a car that was blocking a fire hydrant in New Jersey.

Firefighters arrived on the scene of a house fire early Thursday on Norway Avenue in the Bromley section of Hamilton, Mercer County. But they found the car parked in front of the hydrant.

A picture posted on the Hamilton Township Professional Firefighters' Facebook page shows they punched out the windows and threaded the hose through the car.

The driver should be thankful they didnt use the jaws of life to bust open the doors in order to prevent the hose from having an angled kink in it. 03-lmfao

Sadly I never got the pleasure. The only time I came close was with a delivery truck and it was high enough off the ground where we could run the supply line under it. Smooth pissed the driver off when the PD officer cut him a $237.50 parking ticket and explained that if he drove over the hose it was a $100 fine for each tire that passed over the hose (and since his truck was a dually that would be $400) plus another $237.50 ticket for failure to obey a traffic command. I imagine when he called his boss to tell him his deliveries were going to be delayed for a couple hours that wasn't too pleasant for him either.
