North Texas Breaks Ground on Alumni Pavilion Expansion

Located right next to Apogee Stadium the Alumni Pavilion has proven to be a favorite stop during tailgating.
North Texas is also in the process of constructing a new track and soccer facility & basketball offices at the Super Pit, finishing the installation of new turf at Apogee Stadium, as well as preparing to break ground on a new indoor practice facility.
Project Description:
Expansion of the Alumni Pavilion will engage the University of North Texas’ 241,000+ alumni in the life of the university. The $85,000 provided through the Diamond Eagles Excellence Fund will allow for additional capacity, shade, and seating options, including a permanent stage, and power for live music. By expanding into the existing hill to create a large patio space, the Alumni Pavilion will nearly double the usable square footage, enhance the offerings for tailgating, and provide a more usable event space for future engagement opportunities. To demonstrate our profound gratitude for this funding support, we propose designating/naming the patio addition will be named the “Diamond Eagles Family Patio.”
