I am not sure the West is so much easier, actually.

Seems like a fairly objective review. As for division strength, looking at it on paper the west is weaker but you really don't know until they put on the pads and play. I see the potential there for great improvement from Louisiana, UL-Monroe and South Alabama.

Based on the past few seasons, it would seem that way, but ULM, USA, and ULL are quietly organizing their cards and TXST is will most likely make a change soon. The west could be very competitive soon.

If anything I feel while you know what your getting with the east division and the players, the West is really murky: you have fresh faces with Steve Campbell and Bill Napier ushering in a new era in Mobile and Lafayette; we all know how offensively dangerous the Warhawks are and if they catch a break or key win could easily become a force and Texas State (who I still can’t believe has yet to become a force to be reckon with in the league) I also think is only a few key personnel and luck away from also being a contender

You are a writer making your annual look at the Sun Belt.

The East has three schools that posted winning records last year out of five schools. The West has one of five.

Writes itself.

I think the winner of the West will be decided in Jonesboro when stAte and ULM play. Only problem is we all know ULM’s record versus stAte. They have our number. Hopefully this is the year we break their streak.

You guys have had our number under Blakeney. Hopefully we've gotten that monkey off our back. I'd imagine you guys are looking for revenge after that last game though...

Very true and weird how it works that way. We definitely need revenge after that last game. As you said in another post, it will match a prolific offense against a prolific defense. Curious to see who is better prepared early in the year.
