run the gauntlet and finish the season 6-5 and bowl eligible?

Cases for it happening:
Offense: The Coogs high powered offense was able to confuse the traditionally best defense in C-USA. This offense has the ability to put up a lot of points and I think the coach and personnel are now ready to burn oup the score board.

Cases against it happening.
Defense: This defense is just plan awful. If we can't improve Louisville will hang a 100 points on us.
Penalties: As shown in the USM game, we have the ability to shoot ourselves in the foot.
Special Teams: Unfortunately for us, the Special has been short for Special ED. Missed field goals, poor punting and porous return teams have been killing us all season.
Killer Instinct: This team just does not seem to have it. We got up on Army and they still played us close until the end of our game with them. We have USM down and they still come back and take us to overtime and then takes us out.

The case against it happening so far outweighs the case for it. But I still bleed Cougar RED!!!

Gotta agree there. The chances are pretty slim, but weirder things have happened... only thing is, now we need some weird GOOD things to happen.

Besides the nutkick, I would like more permanant finishers like from the game..

Kolb throwing an ice shard at a rushing defender, freezing him and then Rogers or one of the O-lineman hits him and he shatters.

Schwartz his an opposing RB in the chest and pulls out his heart.

We could have a cheerleader kiss opposing players and make them blow up a la Sonya style.

We do this and heck we become an elite team. Load up the Mortal Kombat Briles. We have two weeks to get his ready for TCU!!! :rofl:

we'll beat every one except Louisville ... then we'll look back on the season and curse the loss to Rice for costing us a bowl game.

Rice will end up in Hawaii this bowl season (BTW, wouldn't a Hawaii bowl of UH vs Rice be neat)

Then we'll go into the bucket in 2005 with a new found determination, Briles will slip back into Texas Tech mode and we'll drop 70 on the owls as revenge ...
