Won't be hard to plow over in 15-20 years.

Based upon experience with stadium building in this area, I would guess that any "plow over" will not happen for at least 50 years. What will a state of the art stadium look like in 2075? Or 2069, the UAB centennial year.

They put that much money into it but couldn't get the phone company to bury their lines?

Kinda was thinking the same thing.

If you look at Google Earth the 3 phase primary lines and light fixtures have been removed from the poles. Only communication lines remain.

If I had to guess, the phone/cable companies have not taken down their lines yet so APCo can't removed the poles. Communication companies always seem to lag.

I bet they disappear before fall.

Seems like they would've had the cable and telephone lines down and poles removed before spending a ton of money on sod. I'm sure AT&T and Charter wanted a pile of money to voluntarily move it and UAB balked.

They probably wanted to give the sod as much time as they could to get established so they went ahead and placed it.
