Trump vs DEM, GOP
This is beautiful. There really are people that get it.

Sure, there are yellow-dog Dems and hard-core Reps, but by-and-large the American people are SICK of fighting based on party.

The average Joe looks more at ideas and situations. These folks are perfectly OK with voting for the candidate that resonates with them and seems to "get it".

Neither Party Line considers common sense. They entrench their policies in the extreme to please their special interests not realizing (or caring) that they have alienated the average voter.

The pent up frustrations of the American voter and the candidacy of non-politician Trump aligned at the right time.

Were the voters overwhelming supportive of Trump or were they overwhelming sick of establishment politics and politicians? I think it's the latter. But I also think the average voter* has been pleasantly surprized (as evidenced by his approval ratings compared to the same time of other presidents).

* Average voter, contrary to the belief of the DEMS and GOP, does not refer to intelligence or sophistication. Believing that's what it does mean is just another factor which disgusts the voting public.

Attacking Trump is now a losing strategy in BOTH parties -- That's the real takeaway from Tuesday's primaries
By Douglas E. Schoen | Fox News

Quote:Tuesday’s primaries in Virginia, North Dakota, Nevada, South Carolina, and Maine indicated that in many congressional races, vehemently attacking President Trump will not be a winning strategy for either Democrats or Republicans in the Nov. 6 general election.

As we’ve seen in earlier primaries this year, it was clear Tuesday that while strongly resisting President Trump is certainly damaging to Democrats, doing so is nothing short of catastrophic for Republicans. GOP voters in several races showed once again that they are rejecting lawmakers who decisively break with the president.

Maybe they think if they continue pounding via the media and in the halls of government we will eventually acquiesce.

However, we're hoping that each election loss will get them to eventually surrender to the will of the people.

Of course he is. But, to our benefit, he decided not to run again.

I actively worked for his TEA Party opponents in the past hoping that we'd be rid of him.

But where establishment politics-as-usual failed to raise the ire of the voters enough to defeat these incumbents, Trump Derangement Syndrome has served as a catalyst.
