Troy signee pitcher Leanna Johnson, who is the #1 ranked high school player in Alabama, finished her senior season with these stats:

• 48-4 record
• 0.45 ERA
• 31 shutouts
• 15 no-hitters
• 536 strikeouts/81 walks in 265 innings
• Won the Alabama State Championship
  

She was named Alabama's Miss Softball a few days ago. She will likely see some starting time next spring.

She was 44-0 against teams in 1A-4A, and 9-4 against teams 5A-7A.

Troy was in early on the recruiting process for her and that's one reason she chose Troy. Before she signed her NLI, she had received late offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss.

She's also a finalist for Gatorade National Player of the Year. This could be the biggest get we've ever had in softball.

Excellent news for the Trojans. Louisiana signed a 6-2 pitcher from Austrailia to compliment Summer Ellyson. I like it when schools work hard to get better in this sport.

When Texas State signed Randi Rupp, they immediately became a player in this league and rode her to multiple NCAA appearances and a conference title.

Get good players. Get better.

I'll be anxiously waiting for 2021 & 2022 to see if all the commits to the Cajuns actually make their way to campus with the change in recruiting rules. If they do, the Cajuns could wind up with a national top 10-15 recruiting ranking for those years.
