Looks like he can be another weapon on our special teams with Pollard. Could be used on offense or defense.

From Nashville. Went to McGavock High School. Had one other offer from Jackson State. Also played at Fort Scott CC.

He looks like another speedy player....right up there with Darrell Henderson.

From a 2014 article in the TENNESSEAN

Tailback Chris Claybrooks has drawn interest from Tennessee and Kentucky. He runs a 4.4 40-yard dash.

Claybrooks (5-9, 160) rushed for 700 yards last year, but he may double that this fall.

McGavock is switching from a pass-oriented spread offense that threw 35-40 times per game to a run-first offense.

Claybrooks had 1,000 receiving yards and 550 return yards in 2013.

"With his quickness he makes a lot of people miss," Gore said. "He might be a DB in college, he might be a scat back. But most colleges understand you can't coach quickness. You can feed them better, you can muscle them up, but quickness is one of those intangibles you can't teach. Chris is like Aaron Simms that we had four years ago that's playing up at UT-Martin."
