Lawson Field?

We get it- you love Legion Field and its glorious stadium certificates, and the only thing that could possibly replace it is a $1,000,000,000 dome (preferably with stadium certificates), but at this point you're like an old man yelling at clouds.

Please advise when UAB ever played at Lawson Field.

You see, that's what's called a "joke." I was light-heartedly making the point that Lawson Field could be considered a smaller version of what we have now. The joke was made as a way of pointing out how low of a bar the new stadium has to clear to be better than what we have now, which you seem to be concerned about. You with me now?

The new stadium will be a helluva lot better. Just because the people involved have not spilled it all over Blazertalk does not mean that it isn't as it has been described or that it isn't really happening. The design phase is on the front end. We'll hear more officially soon.

But why won’t it be the dome in Atlanta?

Because we don't have $1.6 billion to build it.

I really believe FBHC Clark would be happy with the BJCC, the MPF or a OCS that gets his program a new venue.

I think it's more that Clark was involved in planning the specs and is happy with what he knows is going to be built at the BJCC.

Let’s get this thing going already!!!! I want shovels I’m the dirt before the season begins.

Shortly after starting I will start my campaign for some sort of light rail(streetcar) service from campus to the BJCC.

Lauren Walsh @LaurenWalshTV

BJCC Stadium update: Commissioner Jimmie Stephens confirms the BJCC board approved a resolution today to go to the bond market in July for at least $300M. Money will cover stadium & Legacy arena renovations.
