In my experience many northerners view politeness as deception or weakness. Give them their shite back to them and it helps. Threaten to kick one's arse if they mess with you and you have a friend for life. They are like klingons. Lol

Referencing his politics, he seemed to be one of those guys who you can disagree with agreeably. He did a great interview with Reason a couple of years ago. Couple of good quotes:
