It depends on your ESPN Contract. The Sun Belt's contract dictates that ESPN Can flex any game from + onto a major network on 14 days notice, with a 7 day window if they notify in advance.

The difference is that the Sun Belt sold ESPN its First, Second, and Online rights. As of right now, CBSSN has your first tier rights, and BEIN Has your 2nd tier rights. I do not believe ESPN Can jump over those networks to pick up a game unless both of their contracts allow for it to happen.

So pretty much in 3 years all of our games will be on ESPN +........I doubt Bein is around next contract and CBSSN had rather show rodeo or the Arena Football League which has a total of 4 teams now...

We didn't. NOW that more of our games will be on an ESPN platform, that increases our chance of exposure on ESPN. Am I saying we're going to dominate the CFB Daily TV talking points? Absolutely not. But we'll get talked about more since ESPN has skin in our game.

Most years USM vs. Marshall/LT usually has huge conference champ. implications. If those 3 teams are flirting w/ the T25 or are ranked T25 (something we all strive/hope for) then the chances of those teams/matchups getting talked about on ESPN is MUUUUCH higher if said matchups are being broadcasted on an ESPN platform vs. a non-ESPN platform. Those matchups need to be on ESPN and not BEIN/Stadium for EXPOSURE purposes. Nobody. Watches. Stadium. Or. BEIN. Give me sub-par production on ESPN over slightly-above average production on some rando website/app that NOBODY knows or cares about. That's all I'm saying.

CUSA athletics has literally been NON-EXISTENT on ESPN the past 5-6 years since we told ESPN to GTH...meanwhile, during that time-span I saw so many SBC/MAC teams get facetime.

ESPN no longer retains our championship game nor our best match-ups. All the games on ESPN+ are just content filler for them. They could care less about giving publicity to a conference that doesn't make them any $$. But, you think because now they air the remaining games that a network didn't pick up on their digital platform that we'll be receiving more publicity? You're crazy. Just look at how much content will be on ESPN+ next year; you're telling me that the coverage will increase for all of that content? I don't think so. And, I don't know why you keep comparing us to MACtion, who plays mid-week games, or #FunBelt, who sold their entire inventory to ESPN. We have completely different deals – of course they'd be talked about for one more minute on SportsCenter than us. I can't believe you actually think we'd get even more exposure of our leftover games just from being on ESPN+.

Here's what you are missing: USM vs. Marshall or USM vs. La Tech should be on an ESPN platform rather than BEIN or Stadium. People do not watch BEIN or Stadium for college football. The data is crystal clear. The likelihood of more people watching those games because it's on an ESPN platform is much higher than if it's on BEIN/Stadium.

If ESPN thought those games were worthy of those channels they would have made the conference a decent offer back when we were negotiating the TV contract. They obviuosly don't value those games that's why they are on those other channels. Of course more people would watch those games if they were on ESPN. It's the default go to sports channel. It has nothing to do with USM playing. Roughly the same amount of people would watch Grambling State and UT Martin play.

Here's what you are clearly missing: No one is going to watch these games on a digital platform outside of their fans. If you think being on ESPN+ is going to garner any sort of exposure, you're in for a rude awakening. If you think casual USM fans are going to pay another OTT fee to watch games, you're in for a rude awakening. Many, many more casual fans exist outside of this message board bubble; and most would be more likely to watch a game on Stadium or Facebook for free. Those are the facts. And if you think non-USM casual viewers will tune-in to a USM game over those on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or the twenty other games on ESPN+ at that time, not to mention all of the competing networks, you're in for a very rude awakening.

You need to wake up to the reality that ESPN doesn't give a **** about USM and never will.

RE: C-USA News Release - Full football schedule/TV
This comes down to these extra games being better on ESPN+ than on CUSATV. They weren't going to be on real TV/Facebook/Twitter/whatever or they would have been picked up.

ESPN+
- Everyone has ESPN App - much broader distribution.
- Access to tons of other content such as other conferences, MLB, NHL etc.
- $5.00 a month.
- Available via the ESPN App on virtually every SMART TV and Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, etc.

CUSA TV:
- $10.95 a month.
- Horrible Website
- No app for smart devices.
- ONLY CUSA Content.

But to say self-produced, self-funded ESPN+ is better than professionally-produced, corporate-funded Stadium because you think there's the possibility your game could be talked about on SportsCenter for two seconds is completely asinine. They weren't talking about us when our best games were on a linear channel and they certainly won't be now with only our leftover games on their digital platform.

He's not suggesting that ESPN take a game from CBS or BEIN. He's asking if they can move a game they already have scheduled for ESPN+ to ESPN2.

I agree, the leftover games will be ESPN+ along with all the sunbelt games. I will take BeIn and stadium over Scoreboard feeds on ESPN+.

Someone broadcast it on Justin.tv.eu so we can watch ESPN+ games.

ESPN has been on a death spiral for the last couple years dragging down DIS, they atent paying top dollar for any G5 content including AAC

That's debatable. They certainly won't give a **** if we're playing on BEIN or Stadium. That is a fact and the point I'm trying to make. Games with conference championship implications usually get talked about somewhat. I cannot tell you how many times I heard ESPN mention App State/Ark State over the past few years (because they were usually in the hunt for the SBC)...while there was no mention whatsoever of any CUSA teams.

I'm leaning towards TTT's slant as more content will be shifted to Plus. Many complained about ESPN3 when it started, yet now applaude inclusion. The extra $ to meet standards could prove well worth it. There may be a day where Plus is as easily accessible and sought out as others. At the very least it should be a step up from CUSA.tv scoreboard feeds.

One thing I've noticed. When you go to espn.com and view the scoreboard (where 99% of America checks college scores). They'll tell you the channel to find the game but they never note minor channels like Stadium or Bein.

They used to not even tell you games on the competition like FOX or CBS but they do now. They'll tell you if a game is on any ESPN channel, FOX, FS1, FS2, CBS, CBSSN, NBC, NBCSN, I think even AT&T (formerly ROOT). But they will not tell you a game is on Stadium or Bein so people can find it.

Maybe that will change this year. Hopefully.
