This wasn't on the field, but it was certainly one of the greatest highlights from our fan base. I laugh every time I see it. 04-cheers

Great play by USM. That play is worthy of being in the same category as the "LA Tech" lineup of great plays. 04-rock

I didn't notice any of your "greatest moments" occurring against Southern Miss . . . 03-shhhh

I'm told that those outstanding plays are scheduled to happen against Southern Miss in 2018. 05-stirthepot

A classic from the early SBC years, this play is emblematic of the destruction left behind by Hurricane Booger. He was actually double-teamed on the play.

That is NOT Ray Guy. That is not even USM. Your account should be suspended for at least 2 weeks. Wow.

Not the greatest or biggest moment, but entertaining - skip to about the 6:00 minute mark.

RE: Best play/highlight you've ever seen YOUR team make. (Any Sport)
I had given a list earlier, but the more I get to thinking - picture this: The night before the 1992 1-AA championship game David Merrick (starting fg kicker) gets suspended for violating team rules. His brother, Willie, is brought onto the team to replace him (both were on the soccer team as well). Marshall blew a 28-0 lead as several key defensive players went down to injury.

Marshall mounts a brilliant drive to get around the 10 or so with just seconds remaining. Willie comes in and after being iced twice, nails his first-ever fg attempt to give the Herd its first NCAA national football championship and bring the Herd full circle from ashes to
Glory.

This has to be my #1.

That may indeed be the best play in USM history. The player that almost sacked Favre on the sidelines was Washington who was a 1st round draft choice in the NFL that year. The play also never worked in practice either. Sure worked that time. 02-13-banana
