No way he is 9th on the list.

Navy sure did beat UCONN bigly in the Huskies' 4th season playing FBS...
One of your best program wins ever?
do not be mean he is proud of it
Ha ha ha, no, I'd have to do a lot of homework to figure out if this cracks the top 100 wins of the Johnson-Niumatalolo era, much less registers within our 700+ D1 wins.
However, it WAS very satisfying.
See, in 2002, Paul Johnson's first year as HC at Navy, Coach Edsall brought his now-fully-fledged-D1A (following transition years in '00-'01) Huskies into NMCMS for the first of a four-game series. UConn slapped Navy around 38-0.
Loss itself was no big deal - Navy lost A LOT in those days, with that 2-win 2002 season capping a 3-30 three year stretch. However, the story goes that Coach Edsall told Coach Johnson at the post-game handshake "Don't worry, coach, I won't show anyone that tape."
At the handshake at the conclusion of the 2006 game, Johnson said, "You can show that tape to anyone you please, coach."
Shortly thereafter, UConn cancelled the remaining two games in the series.
