Role Call for Iowa and Utah Games
I can't believe I talked my wife into going to 2 games while we are on vacation.
So, who is driving to the Iowa game and who is going to the Utah game?
Tailgating at Iowa?
Where to Tailgate at NIU. It's been many years since I have been to a game at NIU,
We should all try to tailgate together at the Utah game. Although, my wife is a Ute Alum. LOL
Ideas anyone?

I’m in for Utah, but had to back out of the Iowa trip due to other plans. If NIU beats Iowa huskie stadium better be rocking for Utah....

Locked-in for both. What a schedule to start the season. +1 for Iowa, +2 for Utah.
Actually talked mom into attending Utah game. First time on campus for her since graduating in ‘82.

+1, this year is definitely a money grab schedule on the road. Huskies do not have the offensive philosophy/firepower to keep up with these type of teams on the road. Also, I cannot shake out of my mind the way the Hawkeyes routed the Buckeyes last year in Iowa City. The whole Duke ordeal also swayed me too. Not so much what happened on the field, but off the field.

RE: Role Call for Iowa and Utah Games
I'm going to propose the same challenge I gave last year. That time it was - if NIU beat Boston college, Eastern and Nebraska, i'd travel to San Diego State game. That turned out to be possibly just a missed field goal away from happening.
This year the odds are even longer, but if NIU beats Iowa, Utah and CMU, I will travel to the Florida State game.(it would be so Huskie to beat Iowa and Utah but drop the game to CMU).
Anyone up for this challenge?
(I'll be at Iowa & Utah)

No one answered your tailgating question... IMO, the best tailgating is over by the Convo Center, especially when there's a decent crowd. Hopefully there will be for the opener and homecoming. Also check out Fatty's for a while before and especially after the game. Great place. And there's a new microbrewery in town called "Forge." I think it's on the east side of the tracks. Tried their beer at the spring practice block party and it was tasty. Welcome back to DeKalb!

Just a head's up for anyone going to FSU game. All the decent (unless you want to pay an arm and a leg) motels/hotels are booked. Tally is more than a day trip for most FSU alums. You better check your favorite booking site. Don't know about the Thomasville, GA availability but there isn't any decent size towns near Tally. Good luck and I hope to see you there.
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Role Call for Iowa and Utah Games
Sometimes Air B & B has a good deal for a weekend. Not the normal place to search.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at Dekalb. Someone needs to set up a CSNBBs tailgating area. LOL That way, we can all stop by and see who is who.
I ended up booking a room at the Holmes Student Center for game day as it is a little over $70 for NIU Alums. It includes parking there as well. Easy commute after the game. LOL There is still some availability if you don't want to drive home after the 6:30PM start time.
As for the Iowa game, we are driving up early to tailgate, then driving back to our resort. Trying to decide to buy tickets in the visitors section, or wait and get them on a ticket site????

I just made my reservation for the MAC Championship in Detroit! I told the hotel to please send me a list of the Detroit beaches that are still open in December.

+3 on Utah. I can’t travel for football like that no more. Wife is an Ivy League girl( they don’t do football), and my 1 year old won’t make it to halftime. It’s not every day that we can talk a PAC 12 school into coming to Huskie Stadium,Lol. Go Huskies!!!
