They don’t mention his time at UAB which kind of justifies our move back then. he did step up recruiting from UAB to Texas Southern though. Went from recruiting soft bigs from Christian schools to finding the best athletes in random rec centers. Now he’s gotta attend AAU events again.

I wonder if XHCMD has been to Detroit in the day time lately ?
To be fair, at least he will get more than a few bus trips in the Horizon league.

Good for him. He earned a step up at Texas Southern. And recuiting kids that can play from the local area should be easy.

The good news for UAB is that it opens up one more SWAC team that we can start scheduling.

Still not official yet. If Mike is involved, then there is sure to be some drama involved as well.

https://www.freep.com/story/sports/2018/...677493002/

Quote:Detroit Mercy athletic director Robert Vowels said in a text message to the Free Press that reports of Davis being hired were "erroneous" and he hadn’t yet named a coach. Vowels wouldn’t address whether Davis had been in for an interview, though two sources familiar with the situation said Davis was in Detroit on Monday.

Detroit Mercy new head coach Mike Davis says his career path went backwards, starting at Indiana before stops at UAB and Texas Southern.

“The end, you have to see it first to master it, he said.

UAB fans say that Davis' recruiting/performance/mental health all went backwards when he was on the job here as well.
