Women's basketball: Mitchell to face mentor in Denton

Jalie Mitchell will face one of her mentors this fall in the arena where both of their careers took off.

The North Texas women’s basketball team will host Texas at the Super Pit on Nov. 12. The game will be one of the highlights of Mitchell’s fourth season as the Mean Green’s head coach and will offer her the opportunity to face Karen Aston.

Aston, who began her college coaching career as a restricted earnings coach at Baylor, landed her first job as a full-time assistant at UNT in 1996.

Looking forward to this. I was heart broken with Ashton left but Mitchell has done a great job rebuilding the program.

Why are you mad at him? He just stated that Ol' Miss and Mississippi State were playing at USM. That is a good thing for C-USA.
