Can anyone see the WAC moving to something like this?

I think we would need more teams.

I am not sure if you could do this effectively with the number of teams that are currently in the WAC. I think that the WAC would need 2-4 more teams to make it work correctly. I understand how more games against the top RPI teams could make a difference though.

You guys are right. I forgot to consider the number of conference teams needed to pull it off. Any other creative ideas that don't involve more members?

RE: Confrences and Scheduling
WAC could add 2 league games the final week where 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, & 7-8 play each home & home. But barring 4 league games against someone, all WAC can do is restructure the tourney so NMSU + #2 avoid the landmines.
5v8 & 6v7
4v5 & 3v6
1v4 & 2v3
1v2

Ultimately, these CUSA/SBELT moves are probably in vain. You’re better off keeping a double round robin as an 8-10 team league for the tradition and purity. If WAC ever goes to 10, they can stay at 16 games and just have the 1-2 preseason play 9-10 preseason once like the WCC has done to appease Gonzaga & Saint Mary’s.

The best thing to do is watch and see what happens with these changes other conferences have made.
