We should want players that want to play for us. If he doesn't want to be here and wants to play elsewhere let him go. We'll get someone that would love to play here.

I support this too if tampering is involved. If he came and asked for his release immediately like the Wichita state guy we should have granted it. If Penny tried to get other guys and used Boyce as a fallback option even though he was signed(which i suspect is what happened) then I’m fine with the staff holding firm here.

I suspect the only tampering if Memphis fans going after him. If Boyce approached Memphis its not tampering. Keep in mind that Penny encouraged Boyce to sign at UAB. He probably has told him if he wants to come to Memphis he needs to get himself available

I don't understand how all of this could be happening and it seems like UAB is the only one to know about it. I find it difficult to believe that it hasn't been mentioned on any of the Memphis boards considering that they run around reporting every time Penny has farted since getting hired by Memphis.
