A little surprised with Cincy and Witchy ranked so low. I know they lost a lot, but they always rebound.

Well i guess those 3 do have the least number of AAC losses out of the coaches in the AAC.

The OP links to an article by “Jack Williams” who has this to say about Tulane:

Quote:Tulane is a team that has some very good guards on the roster. Guards Ray Ena Embo and Jordan Cornish both started in over 28 games and averaged over 3 assists per game. Tulane ranked 3rd in the American Conference in assists per game last season. Unfortunately, Tulane ended the 2017-2018 season with a negative scoring margin due to the fact that they allowed their opponents to put up more points per game than they did.

In order to move up in the American Conference standings next season Tulane needs to find a way to improve on the defensive end of the floor.

It’s really awesome how he explained the root cause of the team’s negative scoring margin.

I bet it took him years of research and multiple college degrees to figure out that root cause

And he really nailed the link between defensive improvement, and finishing higher in the standings, too. A lot of people miss that.

Other than that, not much to add. Dunleavy inherited *Nothing* from the previous regime, and went (6-25, 3-15) his first year, followed up by (14-17, 5-13). We need about 19 wins overall and 8 in conference to keep forward momentum.

The ECU/ USF battle is setting up to be awfully intriguing.

There is NO way Cincinnati finishes that low barring major injuries. Cronin has taken less talented teams to the tournament over the last 8 years.

"No major changes to this Temple team, with the exception that there will be a new head coach in charge. Temple will probably have a healthy Trey Lowe on the roster for the 2018-2019 season."

This is bad.

I don't think we're done filling our roster yet, but even if we are if we stay healthy I predict we do better than 11th.

I couldn't tell you. But we will be improved over last year, I don't expect to not jump a spot or two.
