No they were the hottest they just played more games and came one run short vs NMSU. They played 6 games in 4 days with that great 15 inning game last night after playing earlier that day. Props to both squads!

Congrats on a terrific season of athletics for New Mexico State University! The football team goes to a bowl game and wins (plus makes a profit of $265,000 on the bowl game). The men’s basketball team wins the WAC and gets to the tournament. The men’s baseball team wins the WAC and get’s to the tournament. There are not many mid-majors that accomplished all three.

NMSU was the hottest team in the tournament. NMSU gave up only 8 runs in 5 games. Our starting pitching gave up only 2 runs the entire tournament.
