OT: Bill Mallory has passed away
Played football for Miami (the Redskins back then) and an excellent coach at Miami and Northern Illinois, among other places. 82 years old. Condolences to his family.

I remember him mostly for when he coached at Indiana. Didn't even know he coached at NIU. Reminded me he was the coach at Miami U when they had those great teams in the early 70's - and had the big win over LSU one of those years when they were dominant between around 1973 to 1975.

Miami U TE Tim Wlliams from Northwood HS, who played for Mallory, also passed away in early April.

I lived in Northwood from about 2 years old until I was 10. Tim played on my older brother's baseball team (he was a year older than my brother) and showed his athleticism early on when he made a running over the head (his back to the plate) catch in Little League against Dunbridge that I still remember. It was just like the Willie Mays catch off Vic Wertz (from videos I've seen) - or at least that is how I remember it. Everybody in Northwood knew Tim Williams. That is a shame. It did bring back a number of memories of Northwood though. I can still remember things about that small town that I will never forget. That was when neighbors were truly neighbors and looked out for each other all the time.
