Looking at the current radar in Biloxi and the weather forecast the next two days, this is what I think makes the most sense.

First off, while there may be some more delays today, I do think they'll get the two elimination games in. So if that's the case, after today there will be four teams remaining - undefeated Rice and a 1-loss Louisiana Tech or Florida Atlantic team in one bracket, and undefeated USM and a 1-loss UTSA or Charlotte in the other bracket.

I think they should go to single elimination starting tomorrow and also try to play all 3 games tomorrow. As far as Rice goes, we don't have the pitching to win 3 more games anyway. USM on the other side is in already so they probably don't care if they end up taking away their safety blanket. Who cares about Sunday's TV on the CBS Sports Network. Worse comes to worse, they can replay the championship game from Saturday night and no one would probably know the difference.

If weather delays things Saturday (rain is an issue tomorrow too), then perhaps they can suspend things Saturday night and finish things up Sunday morning. But there is no reason to keep people in Biloxi any later than necessary with a projected Monday landfall.

Alas, the fundamental good sense of this proposal is perhaps the surest guarantee that it will not happen.

Or have Rice and FAU/LA Tech drive to Hattiesburg and play that side of the bracket to completion tomorrow starting in the morning. USM plays its side in Biloxi tomorrow morning. If Rice and USM both win early, play championship game Saturday evening back in Biloxi.

I like this idea better. Never give up an advantage.
