2019 Recruiting Class
It’s the end of May so I figured we should look around at how everyone is doing in recruiting so far for the upcoming class. How many guys do you have committed, who are you hoping to get, and who’s top 5/10 list have you made?
UNT currently has 2 commits
3*(.8004) QB Logan Holgerson (son of WVU Head Coach)
3*(.8466) RB Garrison Johnson
We made the top 10 for 1 player so far
3*(.8399) WR Khatib Lyles
We have 1 player who is VERY interested in us and I am 80% sure will commit to us
3*(.8316) QB Chase Griffin - basically is like Mason Fine. Insane numbers but lacks height.
How is your recruiting looking so far?

RE: 2019 Recruiting Class
This is like tracking several companies' stock price and comparing who went up and who went down each day. A "commitment" means absolutely nothing to most HS football players today. In fact, a lot of them will commit to a school solely to get social media attention in hopes of getting a 'bigger program' to recruit and "steal" them away.
So who is "committed" or in someone's top 10 in May means virtually nothing until around December- 7 months later.

I think you may be surprised at how well our coaches hold on to commitments. We’ve only had 2 commits flip in the last 2 years, both were in our new coach’s first year.
